We noticed a couple things that slipped through the net when releasing our latest patch. Since they were easy to fix and won’t affect your savegames, we didn’t want to delay these fixes until the next patch. So behold, a hotfix!
We’re hard at work finishing the game, so our patch release rate may become slower. But rest assured, it’s because we’re putting all of our resources in making Divinity: Original Sin 2 as awesome as we can. We know you’ve all been eager to progress your adventure, and with this patch we’ve added… A LOT.
We’re really excited to tell you that we finally have a release date for Divinity: Original Sin 2! The vision we shared with you nearly two years ago is close to realisation. We couldn’t have made it this far without our backers, and for that we thank you.
We promised you a bunch of stretch goals, and while we've enjoyed sharing the progress we've made on most of them, there's one that we've been very quiet about. The big one. The $2 million question, so to speak: What about Game Master Mode?
The day has finally come! At long last, you’ll feel the power of the Polymorph and Summoning schools.
Turn your enemies into chickens; slap them with tentacles; or turn the tide of battle with totems and a powered-up incarnate. Sprout wings and soar to high ground to fire long-distance shots at pesky enemies. Grow horns and charge at enemies across the battlefield to gain the best position-- and leave carnage in your wake. The possibilities are limitless and we can’t wait to see what you’ll come up with!
We have some great news for you: We’re launching a major patch to Early Access (which is available now on Steam and GOG) today! Praise the Divine! Swen has more information about our latest additions and, in an effort to help explain the new concepts, has invented an entirely new technique for sharing the changes. We’re calling it: Cooking with Sourcery. By we I mean just two of us in the office.
The tracks are fresh in the mud, water slowly pooling in the imprint. You raise your head to stare down the path of broken leaves. You'd heard that the AI had been improved in the latest patch, and were looking forward to a challenge, but it looks like this hunt will be as simple as ever...
Patch #3 is out, with a bucket of improvements! We made the AI devious and evil (so it'll kick your ass), we introduced some new areas (so it'll have somewhere scenic to kick your ass), and we balanced and improved a bunch of skills (so it'll be able to kick your ass in new and interesting ways).
